Scott & The Killer Tree

In the Upper Haight district of San Francisco, nudging up to Twin Peaks is the Schrader Heights neighborhood. One day Scott stopped his car in front of a lovely set-back gated house with a metal sign on its gate proclaiming it to be: “The Enchanted Cottage”. He stopped to admire it, after sitting in front of it for a few minutes he drove to the top of the street where he heard a massive explosion, as he turned and drove back down the hill he found the entire road was blocked by the massive redwood tree, which used to grow in front of the cottage. It had fallen and crushed all of the cars on both sides of the street. The exact point where it fell was exactly where Scott’s car was parked 45 seconds earlier. It turns out that “The Enchanted Cottage” has a haunted history, involving a mysterious murder, in some local tour books.
